Random Random Random

Nothing like waking up to a bloody nose! No, Jon and I didn't get into a fist fight in the middle of the night because of his snoring :) It's another one of the lovely side effects of pregnancy I've read about.....

Here are a few pictures from this past week.

First off, there's this great maternity/baby consignment store in Yukon that I check out every few weeks or so. The ladies there are always so nice and I always end up finding something, usually maternity clothing. Here's my find this week!

It's the same exact baby swing, in the same exact fabric, that we had registered for. On BabiesRUs, they have it for $100. I got it for $50!!!! It's in perfect condition too - I was SO happy!

My boss and her sisters and neices usually take a shopping trip to Branson every year. She wasn't able to go this year because she is on her way to Europe for 6 weeks as we speak! However, she did have her sisters pick up some outfits for Baby Sam while they were there....

Bonus - picture of my fat toes! At least they're manicured....

Aren't they cute??? I love the little sports jacket - it even has shoulder pads! Ha! What do babies need with shoulder pads....silly :)

Her neice, Candace, is so crafty. She had her make us a wipes cover and a pacifier clip. I requested OU of course, in hopes that Jon will want to change a diaper every once in a while...

Here's a link to her website bethanybabies.publishpath.com. She also made us a diaper bag wipes cover. Here's the picture of it from her website. It matches the diaper bag we registered for.

I would've taken a picture of the one we have at our house, but everything baby and nursery is in the garage in tubs and under tarps because we are remodeling the baby room. This is what it looks like now! We tore out a desk and cork board in the corner and will put up cabinets.

We tore out the lovely carpet we had (see above pictures - that's the last room with the nasty carpet we have left, but not for long!) We are putting wood laminate in.

And finally, some of you know that I drove my Jeep around for over a year with duct tape holding a rear window up. Mainly because the car repair guy said it would cost me $300 to fix it, and duct tape only costs $2. Well, my wonderful dad fixed it a few weekends ago for half the price! Now, I've got painters tape holding the windshield rubber seal in place because of a stupid automatic car wash that left my car clean, but decided to try and take a piece with it!

I didn't realize what had happened until I was going about 60 on a busy road and started to hear an AWFUL hail-like sound on the roof of my car. It was the rubber seal knocking against it. I've got a call into their corporate office to see if they are going to pay for the damage! How frustrating. Apparently, I'm meant to have some type of tape on my car....

Here's a couple of cute pictures of Barkley - don't let him fool you though - he's a little butthead most of the time!

That's it for now. Time to wake Jon up and have him make me an omelet like he had promised :)

Random Pictures....finally!

Me at a little over 20 weeks - with my chubby face. Someone commented to me the other day about my face getting chubbier - as if I needed to be reminded....

Garage sale - we had a TON of junk! And, this is only half of it!

The other half...

Jon....practicing on our nephew

More practicing - yes, he's about to change a diaper!

And....just when you think he's all grown up....

Busy Busy Busy!

It's has been so busy around the Mason household the past week or so. We had our garage sale and we did great!!! It was worth lugging all our junk over to Liz's house and sitting in the garage for three days :) We had a great time though - and got rid of a TON of junk!

I also passed the halfway mark last Thursday - I am now 20 weeks and 5 days. Wow - time flies by so fast! For Mother's Day, Jon let me drag him to Babies R Us to start our registry. Wow - let me tell you THAT is overwhelming! Holy crap - there's a whole wall of bottles and pacifiers to choose from! It'll probably take me a couple more trips, without Jon, to finish it up - he got a little bored :)

Sam has been actually kicking lately! It seems one day I was feeling little flutters and the next - he's got his little kicks in. Wow - amazing. They're nice and soft now - I'm sure he'll be kicking ribs and bladders as hard as he can here in a few weeks :)

I've got some pictures to post from the garage sale and other things this past week. I'll try and post them tonight!

It's a Baby Sam!!!

Baby Sam's first pictures. Yes, his name is Sam - unless he tells us otherwise :) We're still working on the middle name. We'd love one that starts with an A because his initials will be S.A.M. - rock on!

Of course - afterwards I went shopping with my mom and sister. Here are a few things we picked up:

One of the cute shirts from Marma Duke.

A little something I bought him.

Our little OU fan (sorry Texas). This was a little something for Jon.

A super-cool outfit from Aunt Abby - this is where he's gonna get his style! These are Sam's first baby shoes.

A cute gift from GranPatty.

IT'S A BOY!!!

So, I guess there might be some truth to what those old wives say :) We got to see our beautiful little boy kicking around in my belly today and it was the most awesome experience ever! We are so excited! I will definitely post the ultrasound pictures sometime this weekend, once we get the scanner hooked back up. It's been a long but fun day. I went shopping with my mom and sister this afternoon and then we had everyone over for burgers and brats. I'm so stuffed!

Off to bed for now. I'm exhausted.
